Not surprisingly, CNN President Jeff Zucker has jumped on the liberal bandwagon and blamed President Donald Trump for the mail bombs sent to top Democrats this week. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was having none of it, though, and she just spanked him… HARD.
Secret Service agents revealed on Wednesday that they had intercepted two suspicious packages en route to former President Barack Obama’s Washington, DC home and Hillary and Bill Clinton’s property in Chappaqua, New York. A short time later, a police bomb squad was sent to CNN’s offices in New York City and the newsroom was evacuated because of a suspicious package.
CNN was evacuated Wednesday morning after a suspicious package arrived at the network’s New York City offices. The package turned out to contain an explosive device similar to ones addressed to former President Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and billionaire philanthropist and Democratic donor George Soros.
Authorities also found suspicious packages on Wednesday addressed to Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and former Attorney General Eric Holder. None of the packages detonated before being intercepted by law enforcement officials. [Source: PoliticusUSA]
Speaking at the White House on Wednesday, President Donald Trump called for national unity.
“The safety of the American people is my highest and absolute priority,” Trump said. “I’ve just concluded a briefing with the FBI, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Secret Service. As we speak, the packages are being inspected by top explosive experts, and a major federal investigation is now underway.”
“The full weight of our government is being deployed to conduct this investigation and bring those responsible for these despicable acts to justice. We will spare no resources or expense in this effort,” President Donald Trump said. “In these times, we have to unify. We have to come together, and send one very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of political violence of any kind have no place in the United States of America.”
Despite Trump’s decidedly bipartisan and unifying statement, he was immediately attacked by the political left, including CNN President Jeff Zucker.
“There is a total and complete lack of understanding at the White House about the seriousness of their continued attacks on the media,” Zucker said in an official statement. “The President, the especially the White House Press Secretary, should understand their words matter. Thus far, they have shown no comprehension of that.”

Sanders responded by putting Zucker in check, tweeting, “@realDonaldTrump asked Americans ‘to come together and send one very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of political violence of any kind have no place in the USA’ Yet you chose to attack and divide. America should unite against all political violence.”

But, of course, the liberal hacks over at CNN are not at all interested in unifying or coming together. They will attack and divide all day long because division is at the heart of the progressive agenda.
