Monica Lewinsky is opening up about her affair with former President Bill Clinton. The former White House intern says she has waited for many years to reveal some of the more intimate details. Monica Lewinsky agreed to be in a new documentary series, “The Clinton Affair,” which premieres Sunday on A&E. That sparked the 45-year-old former intern to spill the beans about the infamous blue dress and how she and Bill would hook-up in the White House.

The New York Post published excerpts of the interview Tuesday, detailing how the dress’s infamy came to be. Lewinsky had been summoned to the White House in 1997 in the middle of her years-long sexual relationship with the president. After a public event, Clinton supposedly told Lewinsky that he had a present for her and walked her back to the Oval Office.

“He said he had a present for me. I didn’t quite know — would I get to see him alone? Wouldn’t I?” Lewinsky said. The president’s secretary, Betty Currie, presented Lewinsky with presents from Clinton.

Clinton gave her a hat and allegedly said it was because “‘you always look so cute in hats,’ or ‘you and your hats,’ or something like that,” Lewinsky said in the interview. She said she also received from Clinton a “really beautiful copy” of “Leaves of Grass” by Walt Whitman.

Lewinsky said Clinton’s secretary hid in the White House dining room soon after to “hide” so her and Clinton could be alone.

“She brought me into the Oval Office and all three of us went into the back study, and she went into the dining room to hide there,” said Lewinsky. “Because the illusion to everyone else was that I was not alone with him.”

Clinton then stained her dress while they were both engaging in sexual activity. According to the New York Post:

“And so we moved to the bathroom and were more intimate. There was some attention paid on me and then I was reciprocating, where up until that point he had always stopped before completion on his part,” Lewinsky said, delicately trying to explain their encounter.

“I sort of stood up and said I wanted to move past that stage and so he finally said OK.”

That’s when the dress was soiled, but Lewinsky didn’t notice at the time.

“So that finished and then I hugged him after. And he hugged me,” she said. “And off I went.”

During grand jury testimony in 1998, she said that she initially thought the marks on her dress “could be spinach dip or something.” Lewinsky then related she went out to dinner that night wearing the blue dress, which is why she first thought it was “spinach dip.”

“I went to dinner that night. None of these people said to me, ‘Hey, you’ve got to go to the bathroom, you’ve got stuff all over your dress,’” Lewinsky said.

It wasn’t until much later when she took the dress out for Thanksgiving and her friend, Linda Tripp, saw the stain. Tripp, who was working with Lewinsky at the Pentagon, was also secretly recording her conversations as Lewinsky gave details about her affair. Immediately, when they both saw the stain, they knew what it was.

Monica then explained how she feels about all she has been through at the hands of the Clintons and the leftist media. “If you want to know what power looks like, watch a man safely, even smugly, do interviews for decades, without ever worrying whether he will be asked the questions he doesn’t want to answer,” Ms. Lewinsky wrote.

She continued, “So, what feels more important to me than whether I am owed or deserving of a personal apology is my belief that Bill Clinton should want to apologize. I’m less disappointed by him, and more disappointed for him. He would be a better man for it … and we, in turn, a better society.”

Monica Lewinsky had the entire weight of the powerful dirty Clinton machine on her back when she came forward. This was at the height of Bill Clinton’s presidency, and he was up for re-election.

And you have to wonder if she would not be compelled to speak about this now if Bill had just apologized. It seems like there is some truth to that statement, with what she says about how unfairly the scales were tipped in the former president’s favor.

Well, good for her, and this must be just another blow to Hillary who is supposedly thinking about running for president, again. The failed presidential candidate might want to stop while she’s still ahead. Taking on President Donald Trump one more time could only make her life a living hell, once again.
